Okay the other day- I met this Mum and her daughter, I have no clue who she is, but she was fussing about her gas cylinder. She was buying some cooking gas. But she caught my attention because I needed to be attended to and she was right before me.
She made noise to the attendant (she was literary giving him a piece of her mind) a big piece for that matter about how her cylinder is clean and she was about to get a dirty one.
She complained and complained so much about the high price of the cooking gas and how dirty the cylinders were. She asked why they sell such dirty cylinders and questioned why they cannot clean them. She went on to complain and complain, including the fact that the gas cylinder she was about to get had some dent on it
All this time, I have three kids packed in the car and I am next on the queue waiting to buy some items! I felt like telling her-“Please just go and look for the kind of cylinder you want somewhere else!”
To be honest her exchange and complaining took like 6 minute and I was getting fed up. Oh and did I say, that in the midst of that conversation – she gets a call, which she attends too, and when I am thinking that I need to take this chance to purchase what I wanted, she ends her call and continues lamenting!
Needless to say- that the daughter was watching in awe all this time!
One thing I know for sure- I have no time for fussing especially when the object in question does not affect my destiny.
Many of us make mountains out of molehills. Something so so small- we make it look like the world is about to come to an end. Honestly - what has a dirty cylinder got to do with your cooking Mum? Please clean it up when you get home if you must!
I know we all have so much on our plates – please take it easy, don’t treat life in such a harsh way- laugh , smile and when you really cannot do much about your situation just move on.
Try to pursue peace, let go off baggage in your life.
I am a choleric, and I am not so much concerned about the details of life as long as they do not affect my goals, may be that helps a lot but honestly lets' learn to choose our battles.
Do have a peaceful week!
