Mum in the field.

Its been quiet because this mum is currently on a field mission in  Senegal. Enjoy a few photos for the time being.
The beach  - Amazing Atlantic Ocean
The framissima palm beach hotel Senegal-where we are staying.
Last evening we went out for ride to some Island. Look at this little wonderful kids crossing the bridge to go home. They look like they are from school. Home is the far end...they call it their village. This is around 7:45pm...and yet still bright... its hard for a Kenyan to imagine so.
Mum and her Colleagues - Beautiful ladies. Actually, next to me is my boss. Wonderful lady.
The view from my room.Beyond the trees is the beach.

I skype  my family every day and my one and only hubby facilitates this so well - I am forever grateful to God for him. His support is always amazing.

A brothers' miracle!

Well, the past weekend we went visiting our parents and they offered us three chickens, as take away. The deal was to carry them with us and slaughter in our homes but the men in the house (my hubby and my bro) agreed to finish the business of slaughtering right there so that we carry finished products.

Well, this was a grand opportunity for my bother of whom I had talked about in a previous post on slaughtering kuku (chicken) to prove that in deed God delivers-including phobias! So here goes my brother, truly the Lord has led him to a rock that is higher than himself!
This was the first one-he can afford a good smile!
The second one-He is facing the giant again!
Done with you Chicken! You terrorized my childhood but NEVER again!

This Mamas' visit to Turkana

Please note that these photos are just random. They remind me of so much and I pray that they will help us think of how we all can help in small ways. If you think you can be of no use, please read the book of Esther and think again.
When we arrived, all the children gathered around us.

And the entire crowd kept following. Look at their homes.

There was something about this girl that I just liked. She carried her brother the whole time we were there and never got tired. Did i say - it was super dry hot?!

This is how you check in at the airport.

The airstrip- that carrier is used to offload bags off the plane.

Their homes, there was a very sick man sleeping if you look closely. Yes, health care is not as available  as you would think.

This is where they gather, church, school and social hall. They seat on those benches.

This was just another wonderful girl. She was moving so fast-I could barely keep up with her.

This lady was showing us what they eat-poisonous dry fruits. You eat more than one and your body cannot take it.Yet we found so many children feeding on them.

These are street children in Kitale. Look at the girls, they are so vulnerable. They are hosted by an organization during the day, that feeds them and then releases them at 3pm to go back and sleep in the streets. They are families that run away from Turkana in search for food. Can you imagine your daughter sleeping in the streets. The sexual vulnerability. What amazed me is that all they need is love. They want to hug everybody and hang on you. Love sums it all!

This is one of the volunteers- they adore her!
