The moral of the story is…..

Our boy woke up sometime back looking like this;

The sanguine side of my hubby tells me, "Guess what Honey, Mnara is seeing in a normal way".

So, I get confused and I ask, “What do you mean Hun?”

“His eyes were born full screen, at least one eye can now see how a normal person sees” He replies.

I kicked his stomach - you don’t talk like that about my boy! ha!!ha!ha!

Anyway, we took him to see a Doctor in a general hospital, and he was given some medication to deal with the inflammation. The doc did not have much to say; neither did he have an idea of what the swelling was all about.

The next day, my cool boy was on full screen, good for him! Needless to say the same day, we were going to see his private pediatrician for his normal check up, need I say that my girl Tana is also on inhalers, something that we needed a second opinion about as well.

On seeing our boy the private pediatrician indicated that, he did not even need the eye drops to deal with the inflammation, he thought that he must have hit himself with something.

Well, so we stopped the medication, but the boy was already good.

On Sunday, out dear girl Kendi-woke up with the same swelling-so who hit her now?

Someone is walking around my house when my kids are asleep and hitting their eyes.

Anyway!  We decided to use Mnara’s medication on her and she was good to go!

The moral of the story is…

The moment you notice that your child is sick-this is what YOU MUST DO before you even think of anything or anyone!

PRAY!
Pray that God gives you wisdom on the whole issue,
Pray that God leads you to the right doctor
Pray for the Doctor that will attend to you
Pray that God will give the doctor the wisdom to diagnose where your child is ailing from
Pray that they will subscribe the right medication to your child
Pray all the way to hospital
Pray on your way back home
And finally – GIVE THANKS!

I think for a long time- we have treated Doctors as gods because they deal with issue of life and death, things that seem mysterious to a normal mind. We forget that they are human beings just like us and they are prone to error.  I have 100% respect for doctors but I have also in the recent past witnesses extreme weird cases of negligence omission.  These days- like never before second opinions have become a must do, because trust for doctors is slowly diminishing.

So mothers lets pray!
