My travelling revolution

Wise Wednesday

When I was a mother of one, i used to literally carry my whole house with me during times of travelling. I had to carry all the stuff that my little girl used in the house, the bathing basin, the soaps, the sterilizers, the towels, clinical spirit, dettol and dettol soaps, and the list goes on...

But today, I am much wiser, I have learnt that these little great kids are nothing but little normal human beings and have the capacity to handle much more that we think.

So the last time we travelled, I threw all of them in the hotel bathtub and they all had a good bath. I did not have to sanitize them.

I am more relaxed when travel with three kids than when I had one. How i wish someone had educated me on this before, then i would not have had to pull my hair every time we traveled.

But guess what? I learnt this the hard way. One time, we traveled and on our way back home, the car broke down and we were forced to put up in the nearest town. I bathed my girl in the sink...and that was my turning point, i was so revolutionized!

  1. Wah! They all survived in that bath tub? For sure that's wisdom.

We all need to be delivered from that first born syndrome while traveling. I used to carry a basin, heater to add to your list. I have learned to let go of these and much more.
