My daughter - Tehillah, loves to sing a song that goes like this
"Today is my favorite day, God has made it a special day,
I love tomorrow and yesterday but today is my favorite day"
This song always brings me back to sanity. It captures the mood of the moment and reminds me of the need to enjoy each day. Indeed, lets make each day our favorite day. For it is the day that the Lord has made, God has placed a lot of value in it and so should we. Let us not allow days to just pass us by.
So true sometimes when it's Monday morning and I am faced with my husband going to work after really enjoying having him around during the weekend and especially helping out with the baby, only the joy of this nursery song that my sister used to sing when we were younger 'today is my favorite day' can remind me to enjoy that day and every other as I look forward to the next weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree, imagine sometimes we think we will enjoy life when we have more money, when we get better jobs, or when the babies grow but life is in the everyday things that we do and we need to choose to enjoy life and our families everyday. I am trying to keep at that, sometimes i forget but that's my desire. Rosemary I feel you on those Monday blues when we wish everyday was a weekend that we could spend with hubby and baby.
