A brothers' miracle!
Well, the past
weekend we went visiting our parents and they offered us three chickens, as
take away. The deal was to carry them with us and slaughter in our homes but
the men in the house (my hubby and my bro) agreed to finish the business of slaughtering
right there so that we carry finished products.
Well, this was a
grand opportunity for my bother of whom I had talked about in a previous post
on slaughtering kuku (chicken) to prove that in deed God delivers-including phobias!
So here goes my brother, truly the Lord has led him to a rock that is higher
than himself!
This was the first one-he can afford a good smile!
The second one-He is facing the giant again!
Done with you Chicken! You terrorized my childhood but NEVER again!

To do a thing
Samuel 3:11 “The Lord told
Samuel, behold I am about to do a thing in Israel…” and the story goes on and on.
We have two books of Samuel. 1st and 2nd Samuel. Samuel is one if the great prophets in the Old
Testament. I may not have studied much about him, but I know that through
Samuel, God brought down kingdoms and established others. It’s through Samuel
that we encounter David. And through David, God establishes His everlasting Kingdom
through our Lord Jesus Christ and don’t we love to read the book of Psalms, mediating
upon the word of the Lord as David and others poured out their hearts to God.
Don’t we learn so much about Saul
on the need to obey other than sacrifice, don’t we love to hear about David and
Goliath, don’t we love to hear about the Wisdom of Solomon, don’t we envy (holy
envy) the relationship that David had
with Jonathan. I mean we read the two books of Samuel and your heart is filled
with awe about our God. That in deed He is mighty to save and true to His word.
When God said, “behold I am about
to do a thing in Israel” I would like to bring to your attention that this “thing”
was not birthed by Samuel; this “thing” was born in pain by one
woman, known as Hannah. She may only appear in the first two or so chapters of
the 1st book of Samuel, but it all began with Hannah.
Hannah prayed to God that He
would grant her a son. She was desperate. And her crying with so much despair and anguish to
God changed destiny. Hannahs’ cry was way beyond herself! May be she did not
know, but we know. She may never have seen it but we live it! We testify of it.
Are
you crying out to God today? Are you calling him on behalf of your children?
Are you persistently seeking Him and waiting on Him. are you desperate like
Hannah? Please persist. Just keep pressing on. Your cry to the Lord could be
the very foundation through which God will establish part of His divine will on
earth. The next time you read about Samuel, be encouraged that it all began
with Hannah.

We are all in trouble
When my sister (Purity) was born. I was so grateful that I had a
little sister. By then I was ten years
old. The sanguine brother I have called Alex had this to say to my sister many
years later.
Purity: Hey guys- how was it for you to have a little sister, i mean how did you feel when i was born?
Emmah : Well, I was so happy! I just kept hoping that mum
gets a girl
Purity : Well, what about you bro?
Alex: I had no feelings about it. However the moment I laid
my eyes on you, I knew for sure-We are all in trouble!
(We all laugh)
Well, I was going through some past photos of the kids and I
bumped into this one. I had just arrived from Hospital with Ethan and the look
on Kendi’s face makes me think that this is the look my brother must have had
when he looked at my sister then.
Kendi and Tana seems
to be having a hard time coping with Ethan. This is what Ethan sometimes does.
·
If Kendi and Tana refuse with a Toy that he really
needs- He pulls their braids! He knows it hurts and they will drop the toy as
soon as his hands are on their head.
·
Sometimes he will get on top of a seat where
Tana is sitting and just beat her up for no reason and laugh as he does it.
·
He will hide their shoes on schools day and the
girls will keep looking for their shoes, I mean the entire house looks for them.
·
He pushes them all over like they weigh 2kgs while
he is 20kg.
Well, I guess that is that. I am still learning how to
handle this boy who seems to always bully my little girls. Trust you me, we began spanking Ethan sometime back and we know with the Lords help he will catch up
with discipline.

Support always needed...
A Support group is one of those things that I would really like to encourage Mums to consider. The other night we decided to go for dinner with my Mum-friends. Working Mums in different areas of life and we just needed a breather! And trust you me…a breather it was!. We hit the road at 8pm and we were back in our houses before 1am or so. We decided to treat ourselves and have a good laugh. It was refreshing and I can only thank God for such moments. Thanks ladies, you make life very enjoyable and motherhood and
wife-hood such a pleasant thing!
Kate finally happy to have her salad!
Sly-Not bad chicken!
Cool fish girls-says Rosemary
Nothing Much...she likes her salad too..
Don't I need to invest into a good camera. A must for any blogger. But we asked one of the waiters to take this and he did his best, but blame it on my camera.
